Collection: Deblen's New Tree Nutrition Program

New and Transplanted trees are an important part of completing the look and feel of your Minnesota landscape. What you do and don't do to a new tree is also important.

When a small tree is moved from it's original home to your yard, some traumatic things happen. First of all it is cut from the ground and bucketed or balled in burlap. This removes roots, and causes an injury. The other big problem is the soil change. The tree has developed a "home pH" from seed on, and this is how it eats, triggers growth hormones, absorbs nutrients, defends itself, and everything else to live each day. Once that abrupt change happens, the tree goes into a stasis of sorts as it attempts to survive. During this time it is vulnerable. If the soil type isn't identical in it's new home, the tree is not going to do much growing or be healthy.

So what is the solution? We obviously recommend lots of water, but without food, you aren't helping the tree eat. You need a food mixture that is easy to eat, has zero chemicals, and literally makes that tree think it's back home where it originally grew up. Our program does this.

Deblen's new tree nutrition program has everything your baby tree needs to start establishing new roots and repairing transplant damage. It has everything the tree could possibly need to heal and grow simultaneously. It will explode with new growth each spring, and safely grow very fast compared to just using watering alone. This is safe for your new tree because our tree food is chemical free and will not burn the fragile root system. It is also safe for us to apply to any type of tree at any time of the growing season. Our treatments cause even root and canopy growth so the tree stays healthy as it grows quickly with less stress. A healthy tree resists insects and disease automatically.

What about store bought fertilizers or spikes? These are not completely safe for any tree, especially young trees. These may  trigger aggressive leaf/needle growth but little root growth to go with it, creating a burnout after a few summer since the roots are underdeveloped. This creates top heavy trees and also weak trees that attract insects and disease. Chemical fertilizers/spikes can also burn the tree roots, causing leaf or needle burn.

If you want a fast privacy wall, or simply beautiful trees in a very short time, Deblen is the solution. We root soak and fog the new trees 1 to 2 times per summer to establish a robust root system. We offer yearly maintenance programs for homeowners to ensure your new trees stay happy and healthy.

You can call us before planting to give you our opinion on placement, landscaping do's and do not's, mulching, watering techniques, and come up with the best tree care plan for you.

Deblen can make sure your new tree succeeds, grows fast, and becomes a permanent part of your yard.
